Tonight I met some friends to go to a friend's friend's friend's play. Or something. Frankly, I don't even know who we were there to see. But that matters...not at all.
About an hour into the show, I started to feel a little weird. I ignored it. It wouldn't go away, but I kept pretending everything was fine. And then I suddenly felt like the room was 1000 degrees. I was sweating, I was dizzy, and I didn't know if I was going to pass out or vomit. I realized that everyone around me was laughing at something that was going on in the show, but I couldn't focus enough to try and understand it.
I took this moment to leave the theater, feeling bad that I had to walk in front of the video camera that was taping the show and now the back of my head will undoubtedly be in the only recording of this production.
I sat down on a bench outside of the bathroom. The next thing I knew, I opened my eyes and had no idea where I was. It took me a minute or so to process and realize that a) I was slumped over on my side and b) I was outside the bathrooms where I had sat down. I definitely don't recall laying down, so I have no idea if I did it consciously and don't remember, or if I fainted, or what. Either way, it wasn't cool. I splashed some water on my face and sat back down. The head of the production company, who had seen me leave the theater, came out to ask if I was okay. I told her I felt faint and she said, "Yeah, you look really pale." I thought that was a sign that I should go home, and not back in the theater.
I still kind of feel like crap and I don't know what happened. I've never felt dizzy or faint in my life and this is the second time it's happened in recent months (the first time being on this occasion).
Blarg. I hope I feel better tomorrow for going to see Lacey's wedding dress (YAY) and bartending!

oh man, i hope you're okay! and i hope everything goes smoothly tonight with your bartending gig.
Whoa dude!! Do you think maybe you had a panic attack? That's crazy. Hope you're feeling better today! (Because we're supposed to meet in like 10 minutes and I haven't heard from you otherwise!)
It sounds like an anxiety attack. All anxiety attacks are different, I get them (and am on medication for them) and they're more unnerving than anything else. I really hope you feel better.
You might want to consider getting this checked out. It would be bad if it happened while driving. You could be diabetic, anemic, or just have a virus. Don't let internet peeps diagnose you for heavens sake.
