Never a dull moment

Tonight in class we were discussing an article that we had read about leadership and teamwork. Our professor asked if anyone had any general thoughts, questions, etc. on the reading. A girl raised her hand.

"Well, the work that my company does is entirely project-based, and it was interesting to read this article about a completely different method of forming teams. In the article, the companies brought in a lot of outside experts to help tackle different problems, but we never do that at my company because it takes sooo long for outside people to learn our products and mission."

Stop. Zack Morris time out! Think. If you had to guess what kind of company this woman worked at, what would you say? After hearing about how difficult it is for outsiders to understand new products, I immediately thought "high tech." You probably did too.

Alright, time in. Resume conversation.

Professor: What company do you work for?
Girl: Ocean Spray.

OCEAN. SPRAY.

A quick Google search of "Ocean Spray cranberry juice ingredients" led me to what is apparently some very complex stuff that even a rocket scientist would struggle to understand.

1. Filtered Water
2. Cranberry Juice from Concentrate
3. Cane or Beet Sugar
4. Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)

Unfortunately, I don't know anyone in this class, and thus I could not make eye contact with anyone while simultaneously suppressing chortles. No one else seemed to think this was funny.

COME ON, PEOPLE! OCEAN SPRAY MAKES CRANBERRY JUICE! CRANBERRY. JUICE. GIVE ME A BUCKET OF CRANBERRIES AND SOME SUGAR AND I TOO CAN MAKE SOME.

I kid. I'm sure this girl does some legit work. Though if anyone knows what that might be, feel free to enlighten me!
