Now I’ve been keeping a secret for years, and I think it’s about time I let it out. I also think this is the place to do it, on someone else's blog. And so, with all of you strangers from Arielle’s blog, I will share this deep, dark secret…

I’ve always wanted to do cosplay.

You know what cosplay is, don’t you?

Basically it’s like Halloween for grownups, without restriction to a specific day of the year and minus the candy (there should still be candy...). Most cosplayers dress up as video game or anime characters (read: Cloud from Final Fantasy VII) and attend conventions or movie premiers.

Don’t tell me you’ve never thought about it.

Now, having spilled the beans about this uber-nerdy secret that I’ve been holding inside, I feel obligated to tell you who my desired cosplay character would be should I ever enter this fantastic community in the World Of Epic Nerdery (a world in which I currently live).

I semi-proudly introduce you to: Chii.

Her outfits are just so cute! And what actual reason would I ever have for buying something like this if I can’t wear it?

Not that I’ve ever bought anything like this.

But... you know... if I wanted to buy one… surely I would need someplace to wear it! And what better place to show it off than with thousands of others who probably have the same one?!

So I'm faced with a series of perplexing questions: Would I actually have the guts to dress up as an anime character and go out in public? Would any of my friends consider dressing up themselves to share in the experience with me? What convention would I (we) go to? Would people still love me?

And probably the most important question of them all: Who would take all the pictures I needed to blog about it?!
