I assume many of you have those days that are chock full of "OMG I must blog about this" moments. This weekend was rife with times where I made mental notes to blog about certain things, but of course, I have now forgotten about all of them. Le sigh.
But have no fear, my roommate is here to save the day! She just told me an awesome story and I must relay it to the internet.
My roommate is a graduate of Elon University (it's okay, I had never heard of Elon either until I discovered that she went there) and she is a super duper Phoenix alum (okay, I had to Google it to find out what the Elon mascot was - apparently they used to be the Fightin' Christians! YEAH!) and is involved in tons of Elon-y goodness.
She somehow found out that an Elon grad has invented this neat little mat that you put under your washing machine and it absorbs all the vibrations. I'm not totally sure what the purpose of this is, maybe to not piss off your downstairs neighbors, maybe to make less noise, but the point is, my roommate decided to support her fellow Fightin' Christian and buy one of these nice little mats because hi, in case I haven't mentioned it before, we have a washer/dryer in our apartment and it is sooooo great.
USPS attemps to deliver her package when no one is home, so off she goes to the post office to pick it up. The guy behind the counter, noting the return address as "VIBRATIONS SOLUTIONS," laughs and says, "Har har, what's in HERE!?" Roommate proceeds to turn beet red and tell him it's for the washer. "I see, and what washer is THAT? Har har." Roommate then takes her package and runs out of the post office.
This Elon alum must not be that smart if he didn't see the insane innuendo potential in his choice of brand name. Marketing FAIL.
And for an additional laugh, my roommate showed me the box that the mat came in. It was, of course, the perfect size for exactly what the post office guy thought was in it. Just saying.

That is hilarious. PLEASE tell me you kept the label. Best return address ever.
