Some of you may recall this post, in which I talked about why I hate Twitter. Since that post, I have become somewhat more active on Twitter, which is to say that now I tweet a few times a week as opposed to maybe once a week.
Despite my increase in Twitter usage, there are still things I hate about it. Everything in the last post absolutely a million percent remains true. Here are a few additions:
1. ICYMI (In Case You Missed It) tweets about your god damn blog posts. I still can't stand when people tweet to let everyone know they put up a blog post, BUT NOW YOU'RE TWEETING ABOUT IT MULTIPLE TIMES. STOP. Again - if I wanted to subscribe to your blog, I would (and if I follow you on Twitter, I probably already do).
2. Retweeting EVERY SINGLE TWEET from another one of your Twitter accounts. Congratulations, you're a community manager or maybe you just have 2 blogs or I don't even care what the reason is for having 2 Twitter names. The occasional RT from another one of your accounts is more than acceptable. But not every fucking tweet. Because, yet again, if I wanted to follow that account, I'D HAVE DONE SO ALREADY.
3. Putting a period before your @ reply to someone so that I actually have to see what you say to them even though it has nothing to do with me. If you happen to be talking about someone and you can't for the life of you figure out how to phrase your tweet without putting their name first, fine. But if you think what you're saying to that one person is funny or awesome and it clearly isn't, please don't make me privy to your conversation. Here's an example:
Acceptable: ".@Arielle'sHotHotBoyfriend and I are about to go do some totally awesome thing so be jealous, twitterverse!"
Not Acceptable: ".@Arielle'sHotHotBoyfriend you are so hot and amazing and I love you blah blah barf all over the place."
Alright, that's it. FOR NOW.

I admit to tweeting my blog posts (usually only if I think they're really good or something - I don't do it religiously), & I do it because a LOT of my traffic comes from Twitter - I don't know if this means a chunk of my Twitter feed doesn't know how to use a Google Reader or what, but it works so I do it. That said, the "in case you missed it" tweets make me want to cut a bish.
There is nothing better in this world than an angry Arielle. That, and not using Twitter. Never!
All valid issues. While I do tweet when I post on my blog, I definitely don't do it more than once. I hope you can forgive my action :)
I rarely (in relation to how much I actually blog!) tweet links to my posts but I've spoken to other bloggers how much I hate when they do it excessively. I think there is something via wordpress that will randomly tweet old post links repeatedly and it makes me angry every time I see it. If you want to link to a post, do it yourself, don't have a computer do it for you! Grrr.
You always make me laugh. :-)
the ICYMI does make my eyes roll very far back into their socket but now that I'm back blogging, I'd only tweet my posts multiple times if they involve a giveaway (which my current posts doss, btw) but the period before the @ reply really makes me punchy for all of the reasons you listed.
I almost always tweet my blog posts, but only once and because I know a lot of my traffic comes from twitter and friends have told me it reminds them about my blog. But I won't tweet it more than once. That's just silly and annoying.
And the multiple twitter accounts tweeting the exact same thing drives me fucking crazy. I feel like they're missing the point of twitter when they just post the same content over and over.
